Former Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Alla Nani, aged 56, died from cardiac arrest. He had served as the state’s health minister throughout the COVID‑19 pandemic and was a senior figure in Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP government. After losing his legislative seat in 2024, he left the party in August and joined the Telugu Desam Party in February 2025.
