
Keralam elderly welfare: Govt sets up CM-led council to coordinate, monitor activities
Kerala's government has formed a 14‑member council chaired by the chief minister to oversee programmes for senior citizens. The body will coordinate and monitor initiatives aimed at improving elderly safety, health services, social engagement, mental well‑being and financial protection. The council includes officials from health, welfare and finance sectors. It aims to streamline welfare actions across departments and NGOs.
