An Armed Reserve police sub‑inspector in Andhra Pradesh’s ASR district was discovered with a gunshot injury at the police station after sending a message to a senior officer about personal problems. The senior responded, urging the officer not to make a rash decision and offered to contact his family. The wounded officer is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam.
