Maharashtra govt. orders probe into land transfer to Premier Automobiles over six decades ago
Maharashtra's revenue department has formed a nine‑member Special Investigation Team, led by the Konkan Divisional Commissioner, to examine a decades‑old land transfer to Premier Automobiles. Officials allege that land allotted for industrial purposes in the 1960s was used for cattle grazing and later converted into high‑value real estate, and may have involved breaching land‑use regulations.
