
India-U.S. trade pact to be finalised once U.S. offers preferential rate: Goyal
India’s commerce minister Piyush Goyal said the pending trade agreement with the United States will be concluded once Washington provides a preferential tariff rate. He noted that India already has nine free‑trade agreements covering economies that together account for roughly $60 trillion of GDP, granting the country preferential market access to about two‑thirds of worldwide trade.
