Kerala authorities seized more than 6,000 kilograms of rice and wheat that police say were being diverted from public distribution outlets for illegal sale. Acting on a tip, officials from the Food and Civil Supplies department, aided by police, raided a locked residence in Karali, Parassala, and recovered the grains believed to be destined for the black market.
