An 84‑year‑old retired botany professor from Buditi village in Srikakulam district has begun narrating the Ramayana in plain Telugu to make the epic accessible to children who struggle with Valmiki’s original text. After a 35‑year teaching career, he says presenting Rama’s teachings in their mother tongue will guide youngsters toward the right and moral values.
