Three bonded labourers rescued at Kalasthambadi in Tiruvannamalai district
Three bonded labourers were rescued from Kalasthambadi in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvannamalai district after authorities intervened. The individuals, 25‑year‑old K. Viji, his 23‑year‑old wife V. Sasikala and Viji’s 19‑year‑old brother K. Surya, had been confined to cramped huts without adequate water or sanitation and forced to work over 15 hours daily. Their release follows a police investigation.
