2,311 railway track trespassing cases in two months in Bengaluru
Over the past two months, Bengaluru's Railway Protection Force reported 2,311 incidents of unauthorized entry onto railway tracks. The force imposed fines that amounted to roughly ₹11.57 lakh as part of its effort to curb trespassing and improve safety on the rail network. The collected revenue is intended to fund safety initiatives, and officials said the high number of cases highlights challenges in keeping tracks clear.
