Power cuts paralyse Punjab rice mills; Opon. slams AAP over ‘Roshan Punjab’ promise
Punjab’s rice mills are facing shutdowns due to severe power shortages, with the state receiving about 1,051 megawatts less than its allocated share from the central pool, the power minister said. He urged the central government to promptly supply the missing electricity. Opposition leaders also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Roshan Punjab’ pledge as insufficient.
