79% of Polavaram Left Main Canal works done in YSR’s tenure, Naidu claiming credit: Jagan Mohan Reddy
Jagan Mohan Reddy, president of the YSR Congress Party, asserted that 79% of the Polavaram Left Main Canal was completed during Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s administration and credited his father’s government with constructing the Purushothapatnam lift scheme. He also alleged that spillway and cofferdam work carried out between 2014 and 2019 has compromised the dam’s foundations.
