Kochi Corporation to restrict subsidy on biomedical waste collection amid opposition protest
Kochi Municipal Corporation announced it will curtail its subsidy for biomedical waste collection following protests by opposition parties. From now on, all non‑exempt entities must pay ₹20 per kilogram plus GST, while the subsidised rate will be set at ₹12 per kilogram.
