Solar power to reach 1,900 anganwadi centres in Karnataka
Karnataka will install solar power systems at about 1,900 anganwadi centres, aiming to provide reliable electricity for these child‑care facilities. The initiative forms part of the state’s push to expand renewable energy use and improve basic services in rural areas. Anganwadi centres, which operate under the Integrated Child Development Services scheme, serve young children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
