25,000 students make Guntur a world record-holder with ‘Green Ganesh’
Around 25,000 schoolchildren in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, collaborated to create a record‑setting eco‑friendly Ganesh sculpture, earning a place in the Guinness World Records. The event featured a sand‑made idol, a clay figure and a large painting displayed at the local stadium, highlighting sustainable practices during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Participants came from over 200 schools, and the initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness alongside festivities.
