GrapheneOS' rewritten Messages app is released
GrapheneOS has released a fully rewritten Messages app, built from scratch to enhance privacy and security. The new version removes third‑party libraries, adds end‑to‑end encryption, a cleaner interface, and tighter OS integration. It also improves performance and reduces the attack surface, making encrypted conversations more secure. The app is now available through the OS’s app store.
