
Power crisis: Keralam CM chairs emergency meeting, issues directive for immediate measures
Kerala’s chief minister convened an emergency meeting to address the state’s power shortage, ordering swift actions. The Kerala State Electricity Board’s chair and managing director announced plans to broaden the notification system that alerts consumers to upcoming load‑shedding. The board noted a record peak demand of 5,400 MW, while September’s average demand last year was 4,224 MW.
