DFCs: The backbone of India’s logistics push
The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor has become fully operational, creating a 2,843‑kilometre freight route across India. The corridor is intended to boost cargo movement efficiency and serve as a model for subsequent phases of the country’s logistics modernization program. Officials say the line will reduce transit times, lower costs, and encourage greater use of rail for freight transport.
