Tribal people from hamlet in Keralam’s Malappuram live in makeshift sheds seven years after flood
More than two dozen Paniya tribal families in Kerala's Malappuram district are still living in makeshift plastic sheds erected in forested zones along the Chaliyar river, seven years after a flood forced them from their homes. The temporary shelters provide minimal water, sanitation and schooling. Journalist Abdul Latheef Naha visited the settlement to record their ongoing hardships.
