World Suicide Prevention Day: NIMHANS, Karnataka government expand Project USHAS to 37 hospitals
On World Suicide Prevention Day, Karnataka’s NIMHANS and the state government announced an expansion of the Project USHAS program, adding 21 new hospitals to its network. The initiative, which began in 16 hospitals across 10 districts, now covers 37 facilities, aiming to improve mental‑health support and suicide prevention services throughout the state and to strengthen community outreach.
