With new Assam unit, PepsiCo eyes India as one of its top 10 global anchor markets
PepsiCo has inaugurated a new food‑processing facility in Assam’s Nalbari district, spanning about 44 acres. The plant is intended to support roughly 80,000 smallholder farmers through a network of agricultural entrepreneurs. Company officials say the investment reflects a strategy to position India among its ten most important global markets, reinforcing its presence in the country’s food sector.
