Mayawati 'frees' newphew Akash Anand from BSP after his father-in-law quits politics
BSP leader Mayawati announced that her nephew Akash Anand is being released from party duties following the retirement of his father‑in‑law, former minister Ashok Siddharth. She described Siddharth’s exit as a correct, though delayed, decision and urged BSP workers to stay concentrated on the goal of returning to power in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
