CBI secures return of accused in Singapore scam case from U.S.
India’s Central Bureau of Investigation has taken custody of Harnek Singh, who fled in 2013 after being linked to a fraud scheme that used spoof calls to deceive Indian citizens in Singapore. Singh was located in the United States, deported back to India, and handed over to CBI officials for further investigation and will face legal proceedings.
