Sunni Mahallu Federation urges Kanthapuram critics to stop interfering in religious matters
India’s Sunni Mahallu Federation has called on opponents of Islamic scholar Kanthapuram A. P. Aboobacker Musliyar to refrain from meddling in religious affairs. The body emphasized that fatwas issued by scholars are binding only on adherents who accept them, and should not be imposed on those outside their following. It urged respect for internal community decisions.
