Apple Maps renames Lake Ontario as ‘Lake America’ for US users after Trump order
Apple has updated its Maps service for users in the United States, changing the label of Lake Ontario to “Lake America.” The alteration follows an executive order from President Trump that instructed American companies to replace Canadian place names amid a trade disagreement with Canada. Apple said the change applies only to U.S. maps and can be reverted.
