Congress alleges ₹10,000 crore tax evasion through unregistered political parties, seeks JPC
The Congress party has accused unregistered political outfits of facilitating tax evasion in recent months amounting to roughly ₹10,000 crore. Leader Jairam Ramesh said about 3,260 such groups operate with the backing of the BJP. Lawmaker Gohil has called for a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the parties and their donors, seeking a formal probe at the federal level.
