T.N.’s GSDP expanded by 15.98% in 2024-25; debt stands at ₹8.53 lakh crore: CAG
According to the Comptroller and Auditor General, Tamil Nadu’s Gross State Domestic Product grew by nearly 16 % during the 2024‑25 fiscal year, reaching an estimated ₹8.53 lakh crore. The report also notes that the state’s debt level remains at ₹8.53 lakh crore, reflecting a balance between growth and fiscal obligations. Industrial output and investment inflows drove this growth.
