Over 300 acres of farmland to be acquired for new airport expansion in Vellore
More than 300 acres of agricultural land will be taken over to enlarge the new airport near Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The acquisition plan lists four nearby villages—Poigai, Abdullapuram, Anpoondi and Pudur—as the areas from which the farmland will be sourced. The move is part of efforts by the government to expand the airport’s capacity, according to reports.
