Villages vulnerable to floods will be shifted permanently, says Minister in Bagalkot
Bagalkot district in‑charge minister Vijayanand Kashappanavar announced that villages at high risk of flooding will be relocated on a permanent basis. He also appealed to the state chief minister to tour the area, assess the ongoing drought, and address the needs of affected residents, with a visit expected around September 4, 2026 to discuss long‑term rehabilitation measures.
