CPI(M) protests sharp cut in Kerala Sahitya Akademi funding
Communist Party of India (Marxist) has staged protests against a Kerala government order issued on October 11 that reduced the Sahitya Akademi’s budget to 50 lakh rupees. The party is demanding the order be revoked, arguing that the severe funding cut has hampered the academy’s operations and caused delays in paying staff salaries for several months.
