Need to build a Navy that can fight, sustain without any constraints: Admiral Swaminathan
Admiral Swaminathan, chief of the Indian Navy, said the force must be capable of fighting and sustaining operations without limitations. He clarified that the concept of self‑reliance (Aatmanirbharta) does not imply isolation, urging cooperation with allied nations while maintaining a position of strength rather than weakness. He called for joint exercises, technology sharing and logistics support with friendly partners to enhance readiness.
