Theni jail warders thrashed 17 escapees after recapture, alleges mother of prisoners at Madras High Court
In Theni, warders at a jail reportedly assaulted 17 inmates after they were recaptured, according to the prisoners' mother who filed a petition in the Madras High Court. The court, presided by Justices A.D. Jagadish Chandira and B. Karthikeyan, directed a medical examination of four of the recaptured detainees by a three‑doctor team appointed immediately.
