Maharashtra FDA confiscates Patanjali stock, suspends licences
Maharashtra’s food safety authority seized roughly 2,280 litres of ghee valued at about 20.2 lakh rupees from Patanjali distributor Divya Mahavitarak in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The agency also suspended the distributor’s licences, citing concerns that the product could be misbranded or adulterated. The Maharashtra FDA called it a routine safety check.
