19 child labourers rescued after CM D.K. Shivakumar’s visit to Yeshwanthpur APMC
After Karnataka chief minister D.K. Shivakumar visited the Yeshwanthpur agricultural market, authorities rescued 19 child labourers. Following his orders, five special teams comprising assistant commissioners, police inspectors from the North Division and labour inspectors were assembled, operating under the deputy commissioner of police, North Division. The operation was coordinated to remove the children from exploitative work.
