Police suspend staging of controversial Gandhi play, Addanda Cariappa attacked again
Police have halted the planned staging of a controversial play about Mahatma Gandhi after the lead actor, Addanda Cariappa, was attacked again. Authorities warned that any performance could trigger legal action against the production team if it escalated law‑and‑order problems. The decision follows concerns over potential unrest surrounding the dramatization of Gandhi’s life in India.
