PETA's plea: Celebrities, politicians, scientists sign against Centre's draft on animal cruelty rules
PETA India reported that a group of celebrities, politicians and scientists have signed a petition urging the government to reject the draft amendment to the Breeding of and Experiments on Animals (Control and Supervision) Rule. The draft, if implemented, would replace the current rule and, according to PETA, could dilute protections for animals used in laboratory research.
