Madras High Court permits Vaiko to oppose Vedanta’s plea for ‘green copper’ plant at Thoothukudi Sterlite premises
Madras High Court granted former Tamil Nadu MP Vaiko permission to contest Vedanta Ltd’s application to establish a ‘green copper’ facility on the Sterlite plant site in Thoothukudi. The court also ordered that petitions filed by the traders’ association Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangangalin Peramaippu and activist R. Fatima be joined as parties to the proceedings.
