Andhra goes ahead with Kotia local body polls despite Odisha’s plea in Supreme Court
Despite Odisha's petition to the Supreme Court, Andhra Pradesh will hold local body elections in the disputed Kotia border villages on November 5. The YSR Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party each claim the villages will back their candidates. The state government says the schedule cannot be changed while the court reviews the plea.
