‘Husband Husband’ to ‘????’ and ‘XXX’: After SIR, Bengaluru’s electoral rolls riddled with errors
A review of Bengaluru’s electoral rolls has uncovered widespread inaccuracies, with many entries displaying nonsensical strings such as “Husband Husband,” “????,” and “XXX.” In several polling stations, consecutive records show scrambled letters and symbols instead of proper names and relative details, rendering the data unreadable. Officials attribute the problem to recent systematic updates, prompting calls for verification and correction.
