Government to issue commemorative coin to mark birth centenary of legendary Bengali actor Uttam Kumar
The Indian government announced a ₹100 commemorative coin to honor the 100th birth anniversary of celebrated Bengali actor Uttam Kumar. According to a gazette notification dated September 3, the coin will be struck in 99.9 percent pure silver and measure 44 millimetres in diameter. The release aims to recognize the iconic film star’s legacy and will be sold nationwide.
