Elderly, vulnerable voters overcome odds to vote in Municipal elections
Senior citizens and other vulnerable groups in Chittoor and Hindupur faced significant obstacles while voting in the municipal elections, including needing help to navigate stairs, crowded polling stations, and long queues under high temperatures. Voter‑list discrepancies added confusion, but many managed to cast their ballots despite these difficulties. Community volunteers assisted them, and election officials were urged to improve accessibility for future polls.
