Chennai city to get 36 new parks and 11 playgrounds
Chennai’s Greater Chennai Corporation announced plans to create 36 new parks and 11 playgrounds across nine zones of the city. The initiative is part of Tamil Nadu’s broader urban development program, which allocates roughly ₹1.5 lakh crore for infrastructure upgrades. Officials say the new green and recreational spaces aim to improve public access to open areas for residents.
