Captain Chowta opposes proposal to revise timings of Gomateshwara Express
Retired army officer Captain Chowta has publicly rejected the Railway Ministry's proposal to shift the departure of the Gomateshwara Express from Mangaluru Junction to Yeshwantpur. The plan would move the tri‑weekly and weekly services from their current 7 a.m. slot to 11:40 a.m., a change he says would significantly inconvenience travelers. He argues that the later start would disrupt schedules and reduce the train's utility for passengers.
