Tamil Nadu to set up 26 POCSO Act courts and four NDPS courts
Tamil Nadu announced the establishment of 26 new courts under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and four additional courts for the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The expansion brings the state's total to 52 special courts operating across 47 police districts, aiming to expedite cases related to child sexual abuse and drug offenses.
