Former SC development officer in Keralam’s Palakkad gets jail for misappropriation
An ex‑scheduled‑caste development officer from Palakkad, Kerala, has been sentenced to imprisonment for embezzling money. Investigations revealed that during 2002‑03 she altered official documents such as the cash book and receipt register to siphon roughly ₹8.96 lakh from three government schemes. The Kerala High Court imposed the custodial term and ordered the recovery of the diverted funds.
