CPCB threatens to shut NCR industries yet to order pollution-control devices
The Central Pollution Control Board sent a letter on Oct. 30 urging Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan officials to serve show‑cause notices to factories in the National Capital Region that have not installed required pollution‑control equipment under the revised emission standards of the Central Air Quality Management. The board warned it could order shutdowns of non‑compliant units.
