IMD scouting for land to set up wind profiler radars in Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram under ‘Mission Mausam’
India’s Meteorological Department is searching for suitable sites in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram to install wind‑profiler radar systems. The equipment will support the Union government’s ‘Mission Mausam’ programme, overseen by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, aimed at enhancing atmospheric monitoring and early‑warning capabilities across the region.
