SAD will establish ‘Build Punjab’ department, says Badal
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) plans to create a new department called Build Punjab. Party leader Sukhbir Singh Badal announced that the department will enable factories to set up private solar plants, aiming to reduce electricity tariffs for them to about ₹1.50 per kilowatt-hour. The initiative is presented as a step to attract investment, cut industrial power costs and boost economic development in the state.
