France is getting download tax for content providers (€0.055/GB)
France will impose a download tax on digital content providers, charging €0.055 per gigabyte of data transferred. The measure aims to generate revenue from online media consumption and level the playing field with traditional broadcasting. The tax will apply to all services that deliver content to end‑users, regardless of the provider’s location. The government says the rule will take effect next year.
