Tasmac revises liquor prices from November 1, links refund to bottle returns
Tasmac, the state liquor board of Tamil Nadu, announced that from November 1 it will add an environmental cess to the maximum retail price of all Indian‑made foreign liquor, beer, wine, and imported spirits. Customers who return empty bottles will receive a ₹10 refund. The move aims to curb waste, raise revenue, and support sustainable practices.
