Over 1.05 lakh persons bound over ahead of local body polls in A.P.
Police in Andhra Pradesh have detained over 105,000 people before local body elections. Chief of police Harish Kumar Gupta reported 2,726 pending non‑bailable warrants were executed and 261 election‑related cases registered. Authorities also seized liquor worth 11.99 lakh rupees and 495 kilograms of cannabis. The operation, part of a broader crackdown on electoral corruption, targeted individuals suspected of influencing votes.
